Top 5 New Forest attractions

If you’re coming to visit us on the South Coast this Summer and looking for some fun days out or local activities then here’s my Top 5 recommended New Forest attractions that are great for families or groups of friends alike!

Beaulieu National Motor Museum – With over 250 vehicles, the National Motor Museum has one of the finest collections of cars, motorcycles and motoring memorabilia in the world!  If cars aren’t for you, then why not take a walk around the grounds visiting Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House.  It’s a great day out and only a stones throw from Beaulieu village itself.  Advance adult tickets start at £19

New Forest Activity Centre – If you’ve come for a bit of action, then this is the place to go!  Try canoeing and archery, or have a go at building your own raft.  If you’re feeling especially competitive why not give the archery a go – you won’t get bored. Prices vary depending on activity.

New Forest Wildlife Park – A great day out for all the family – with woodland trails, visit creatures in their natural habitats and time it right you may even get a chance to join in one of the many themed and seasonal nature quiz trails.  My favourite is the amazing adventure playground! Adult tickets are £10.50

Exbury Gardens & Steam Railways – For a relaxed day out explore the beautiful gardens or Exbury, ride the steam train and then pop along to the tea rooms for a tasty treat.  There’s also a play area for the kids. Adults from £10.

Ringwood Brewery (One for the adults!) – Our group glampers tend to love this one – Take a tour of the brewery sampling the malted barleys, sniffing the hops and see the fermentations bubbling away!  The tour takes approximately one and a half hours and afterwards you can purchase your favourite ales to take home.  Adult tour price £8.50

Of course, there’s loads more to do in our wonderful local surrounds.  Keep an eye out for more attraction recommendations soon!  In the meantime if you’ve got any hidden gems that you think we should know about then let us know either on our Facebook or Twitter pages now.
